Who Am I?

Who Am I?
Who am I?
Am I the physical body that can magnify
Or the five senses on whom I rely?
Who am I?
Am I the intellect that knows to justify
Or the emotion that can make me cry?
Who am I?
Am I the impulses that are not my ally
Or the actions that help me clarify?
Who am I?
Am I the mind that is invisible to the naked eye
Or the soul, which I may deny?
Who am I?
When I realize that all the above are not I,
I learn to quiet them and from them untie.
That’s when I start to unravel my inner I
And it’s pure energy, I identify.
Behold, I perceive that consciousness is the I.
